Introduction

Duties and Responsibilities

My duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Entering employment data into the company database
  • Answering any employee inquiries
  • Issue contracts of employments and any other letters of employment
  • Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations
  • Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
  • Gather and examine timesheets to ensure they are complete and accurate
  • Update payroll records by entering changes to employee pay rates, exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
  • Calculate and issue employee payments and deductions
  • Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns
  • Coordinate with HR department to ensure correct employee data
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails for the HR department
  • Any other tasks as required by the Director of HR 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

To execute the position of Human Resources Trainee, I must have the required qualifications and technical skills:

Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have excellent knowledge of guest related functions and guest service.  

Fluent in English and French
