Surrounded by alpine scenery, tranquil lake views, and expansive gardens, the hotel offers a rare balance of refined tranquility and restorative retreat. The 110 elegantly designed rooms and suites blend historic character with contemporary comfort, many featuring private terraces or balconies overlooking the lake.

Wellness is seamlessly woven into the experience, with an indoor pool set within historic grottos, an outdoor pool, dedicated yoga and fitness area, and spaces dedicated to relaxation. Culinary offerings range from Mediterranean lakeside dining to refined Asian cuisine, complemented by a historic lobby bar crowned by a magnificent, frescoed ceiling.

The aim of the Marketing Manager role is to define and effectively implement the marketing strategy for the newly opening Grand Hotel Locarno, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa, Lake Maggiore, in collaboration with the Commercial Director and the agency involved. The role plays a key part in ensuring the hotel’s positioning aligns with the brand and actively supports its commercial success as well as the long-term strengthening of the brand.

As a key marketing expert, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Luxury Collection brand identity (CI) and all relevant brand, quality and process standards of Arabella Hospitality. The focus lies on strategic marketing planning and management across digital, print, social media and public relations, as well as the holistic design of the guest journey and all relevant guest touchpoints.

Working closely with the Commercial Director and the Revenue Management Team, as well as the external agency involved, you will develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy for the opening phase and ongoing operations. You will also drive the further development of the product, market performance and internal structures, and ensure a strong and consistent brand presence in all relevant target markets.

Your tasks

  • Collaborating on the development and responsible implementation of a strategic marketing and action plan for the pre-opening and ongoing operations to position the Grand Hotel Locarno, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa, Lake Maggiore, as an iconic luxury destination hotel in Ticino
  • Developing and implementing the brand positioning and the Experience Blueprint (Guest Journey) in collaboration with internal stakeholders, agencies and the hotel owner
  • Strategic campaign planning and management with a focus on increasing bookings, occupancy and revenue, particularly in the premium room and suite segment, in close collaboration with the Marriott Digital Field Marketing Team
  • Close collaboration with the Commercial Director and Revenue Management, including KPI management, requirements definition and participation in sales and strategy meetings
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships in Locarno and Ticino to strengthen local positioning and brand presence
  • Responsibility for the holistic brand presence of the hotel and its outlets (restaurants, bar, spa) across all relevant channels
  • Management, maintenance and optimisation of the hotel, F&B and voucher websites, as well as ensuring accurate content on online booking platforms
  • Developing and implementing the marketing and PR strategy in line with the business plan, including press and influencer activities in coordination with the Commercial Director
  • Managing the content strategy for social media, as well as planning and implementing photo and film productions in accordance with The Luxury Collection brand guidelines
  • Preparation of key marketing and sales materials (presentations, brochures, newsletters, trade fair materials)
  • Budgeting, forecasting and reporting in collaboration with the Commercial Director
  • Taking on cross-departmental projects and acting as Manager on Duty where required
