Your key responsibilities
As a valued member of our Linen Room team, you will play an important role in maintaining the impeccable standards of Badrutt's Palace. Through your craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail, you will ensure that our uniforms, guests' garments, and hotel textiles are presented to the highest standard, contributing to the exceptional experience for both our guests and colleagues.
Your responsibilities include carrying out professional sewing, alteration, and repair work on staff uniforms, guests' garments, and hotel textiles.
With the utmost discretion, precision, and attention to detail, you handle individual alteration requests from our international guests.
Using your expertise, you perform machine embroidery according to our guests' individual requirements, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.
You repair and mend textiles with great care, replace buttons, sew hems and linings, and ensure that every garment meets our exceptional quality standards.
With professional fitting and alteration of staff uniforms also form an integral part of your varied responsibilities.
Whenever required, you support your colleagues in the Linen Room team and assist in other operational areas of the Laundry.
Maintaining a clean and well-organised workspace, as well as ensuring the proper care of your tools and sewing machines, comes naturally to you.
What you bring to the job
You have successfully completed vocational training as a Tailor or Seamstress, or have several years of experience in a comparable role.
Extensive expertise in sewing, alterations, and garment repairs, as well as in working with a wide variety of fabrics and materials, enables you to deliver work of the highest standard.
Ideally, you have experience with machine embroidery.
Precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality are among your key strengths.
Discretion and a strong sense of responsibility are essential when handling guests' personal garments and meeting the expectations of our international clientele.
Even in a fast-paced environment, you work reliably, independently, and remain well organised.
A flexible, service-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team complete your profile.
Good command of English and Italian is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
Our offer
Fixed-term seasonal position from the end of November 2026 to the beginning of April 2027, with the opportunity for further seasonal employment.
Average 5-day working week with 43.5 working hours.
5 weeks of vacation and 6 public holidays per year.
13th salary from the start date (pro rata temporis).
