The Role

We are seeking an experienced, charismatic and entrepreneurial Spa Manager (m/f/d) to lead the wellness operations of Chenot Palace Weggis.

In this highly visible leadership position, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation, service excellence, team performance and commercial development of our Spa.

Working in close collaboration with the Medical team and other hotel departments, you will ensure the consistent delivery of the Chenot Method® and an exceptional guest experience in accordance with the highest international luxury hospitality standards.

This role requires a strong combination of people leadership, operational excellence, commercial acumen and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

You understand that true luxury is not defined solely by exceptional facilities or treatments, but by personal attention, individuality, discretion, anticipation and excellence in every detail.

You will lead, inspire and develop a large, international and multidisciplinary Wellness team, creating an environment in which people are empowered to perform at their best.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

You will take overall responsibility for ensuring an exceptional, personalised and consistent Wellness experience throughout every stage of the guest journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the highest standards of service, treatment quality, hygiene, presentation and professionalism
• Maintaining consistency in the delivery of wellness services
• Personally engaging with discerning international guests when appropriate
• Anticipating individual guest needs and creating highly personalised experiences
• Handling guest feedback, concerns and challenging situations with confidence, empathy and discretion
• Continuously reviewing and enhancing the Wellness guest journey
• Conducting regular quality inspections and operational reviews
• Ensuring that theWellness center environment consistently reflects the highest standards of luxury, tranquillity, cleanliness and professionalism
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and translating feedback into concrete operational improvements

Wellness Operations & Quality

You will be responsible for the efficient and consistent operation of the Spa, ensuring that all wellness services are delivered according to Chenot standards and established protocols.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Directing the day-to-day operations of the Wellness center
• Ensuring that all wellness programmes and treatments are delivered consistently according to the Chenot Method®, established protocols, SOPs and quality standards
• Ensuring strict adherence to treatment standards, contraindications, hygiene, health and safety requirements
• Optimising treatment scheduling, room utilisation, workflows and capacity
• Ensuring effective deployment of team members according to operational requirements and guest demand
• Monitoring productivity, treatment occupancy and operational performance
• Maintaining excellence in facility standards, treatment rooms, equipment and Wellness center presentation
• Ensuring appropriate maintenance and responsible use of equipment and operational resources
• Ensuring compliance with company policies
• Identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing appropriate corrective measures
• Supporting the introduction and implementation of new treatments, protocols, technologies and operational standards

Financial & Commercial Performance

You have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and understand the Wellness center  as an important contributor to the overall financial performance and positioning of Chenot Palace Weggis.

You will take an active role in driving sustainable revenue growth while maintaining the quality and integrity of the Chenot guest experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and analysing  revenue, productivity and key performance indicators
• Taking responsibility for achieving agreed departmental financial and operational targets
• Optimising treatment mix, capacity utilisation, therapist productivity and treatment-room performance
• Monitoring payroll and staffing productivity in relation to business volumes
• Supporting and contributing to the annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes
• Maintaining effective cost control and responsible resource management
• Identifying new revenue opportunities while protecting the positioning and philosophy of the Chenot brand
• Monitoring and developing retail performance

Cross-Functional & Strategic Collaboration

The Spa is an integral part of the overall Chenot Palace guest experience. Close cooperation and seamless communication across departments are therefore essential.

You will:

• Work in close partnership with the Medical team to ensure the seamless coordination of medical and wellness elements of the Chenot programmes
• Maintain strong collaboration with Guest service Dept, Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other operational departments
• Ensure effective communication regarding guest programmes, preferences and operational requirements
• Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment
• Cooperate with Chenot Corporate teams on operational improvements and standards,
• Contribute actively to the continuous development of Chenot Palace Weggis and the evolution of the overall guest experience

Qualifications & Competences

We are looking for a strong and engaging personality who combines luxury hospitality, Spa and wellness expertise, commercial understanding and modern people leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Several years of senior management experience within a luxury medical wellness resort, health retreat or comparable 5-star hospitality environment
• Solid operational experience in Spa, Wellness or luxury Hospitality Management
• Proven experience leading and developing large, multicultural and multidisciplinary teams
• A strong understanding of operations, treatment scheduling, capacity management and service delivery
• Demonstrated experience in workforce planning and productivity management
• A strong understanding of luxury guest expectations and international service standards
• A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with a sound understanding of revenue, costs, profitability and operational KPIs
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and performance management
• Confidence working with Spa management systems, scheduling tools and operational data
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• A polished, confident and professional presence
• High emotional intelligence and a genuine ability to inspire, coach and develop people
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to make sound decisions and remain calm, focused and professional in demanding situations
