The Whymperstube is part of MRH Zermatt SA and is a traditional restaurant located in the heart of Zermatt. With 45 seats indoors and a terrace for 20 guests, we offer our international clientele an authentic alpine experience in a warm and cozy atmosphere.
To strengthen our team, we are looking with immediate effect or by agreement for a committed and experienced personality as Restaurant Manager
Overall responsibility for the operational management of the restaurant
Leadership, motivation, and development of a team of around 10 employees
Ensuring warm and professional guest service
Active participation in daily service operations
Implementation and monitoring of quality and hygiene standards
Responsibility for staff scheduling, training, and development
Close collaboration with the F&B, HR, Technical Services, Purchasing, Marketing, and Events departments of MRH Zermatt SA
Participation in the design of offers and promotions to strengthen guest loyalty
Completed vocational training in the hotel or restaurant industry
Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
Strong host qualities and enjoyment of guest interaction
Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team
Strong organizational skills, resilience, and a hands-on mentality
Knowledge of Lightspeed, Zenchef, Abaplan, and Microsoft Office
Very good command of German and English; additional languages are an advantage
